Please remember with fundraising:
a) a min. donation of $20 is required for FoHC to issue a tax receipt
b) all donor information must be included with the donation (please see the file below for a copy of what needs to be
included- this can be done as a slip with the donation or printed directly onto donation envelopes)
c) CASH or CHEQUES made out to Friends of Honduran Children
d) CREDIT CARD donations can be made through the FoHC website but a small fee is charged to FoHC for this service and
deducted from the donation and you must notify Julia or FoHC to direct the donation to our brigade or it will simply go
into general fundraising
e) Donations need to be given to Julia who tracks all the money and makes deposits with FoHC into our brigade account

Donor request letter to businesses you may have a connection with
Donor request letter sent to family/friends through facebook/email or snailmail with self addressed /stamped envelope included for them to make a donation
Golf? tournament/Baseball/ Volleyball tournament (most schools give amazing gym rental rates if it is for a charity)
Christmas cards or greeting cards using pictures of past brigades and children from the projects - 6/$5.00 or can sell individually for $1.00 - could also use pictures of flowers, etc anything that would make a nice card – cards with pictures of children also make a very nice Thank
Donation bucket asking for Loonie – works well in larger places i.e. hospital, schools
Raffle of donated items – sell tickets and have draw
Wine and dine –items donated and you host a meal
Theme dinner – invite guests and explain dinner is fund raiser for FOHC – plan fancy dinner and ask for donation to be made as if they were dining in restaurant OR you can invite people of different ethnic groups - ask them to cook a traditional dish and have an international dinner
Mystery dinner – charge a fee for dinner and entertainment
Jelly bean guessing contest – 1 qtr. Jar filled with large and small jelly beans - $2.00 for one guess and three guesses for $5.00 – funds raised go to a 50-/50 draw with total proceeds being split between winner and cause
arrangements with a local consignment clothing store for specific donated items proceeds to be donated to the FOHC
